As the current situation stands; he is in the process of opening up a bank account at Bank Millenium which hopefully will do business with him as Santander will not. With some luck there will be a bank account and the funds from Santander can be transferred.
Why cant he transfer to a German account?
Anyway forget Millenium or any traditional bank in Poland.
For his needs he should go straight to Citi, its only 200m from the original WBK branch. :)

I guess it's just excuses to get time passing and our money and coins spent or washed clean.

Why else he spends his time in Asia.

I know this mindset doesn't help is but like you say... excuses... excuses... excuses

The latest news i've received was that at the moment there were attempts to get an account at these 4 banks: PKO, mBank, Millennium, Citi and Alior. Unfortunately they all rejected the request. I'm not sure why but I can make an educated guess.

The process is now currently ongoing with 2 other banks. I hope to hear more soon.

Current status is that out of the 2 other banks only BNP is in the race. I believe Simon plans on visiting the bank himself (which already has been his ambition since beginning of 2020 as far as I know) but needs to be vaccinated first in order to not be placed 10 days in quarantine.

Thanks as always for the short update. But it just sounds like yet another excuse to me - for how long is he planning to draw out this particular excuse of needing to get vaccinated and avoid quarantine?

That's a weak one, even for Simon, while he's continuing to live off the money he stole.
