As mentioned in my previous mailing my next course of action was figuring out why the lawyer of Simon has not yet received the official outcome. This official outcome states that the Polish investigation concerning money laundering has been ceased. This in itself means the funds will be unfrozen.
It is important to have this official outcome communicated with Simon or his lawyer. Simon has been advised by his lawyer not to make any statement while the investigation is active. While we and he probably as well, knows the investigation is cancelled I reckon he waits till it's 100% official.
From what I have learned after contacting our lawyer is that the official outcome has been sent but Simon's lawyer appears to be residing abroad. This means delivery of the statement is within two to three weeks after having been sent.
Every time the Polish state sends out these kinds letters it is send through a registry and with confirmation of delivery. This confirmation is signed by the addressee and then returned to Poland. Return of the confirmation usually also takes the same amount of time at the very least. As far as I can tell now, hopefully next steps will be made start of next year.
What's interesting though, is that our lawyer was able to get this statement even before Simon, the suspect in the investigation, has received this. I'll never understand how Polish authorities operate....
